No, “Z” in Latin America is pronounced /s/, but in Spain, it’s pronounced like an English th /θ/, and this sound is different from /f/

Hi, I have a question you said that “Z” is pronounced “S” in Latin America and “F” in Spain ……..so in Los Angeles is it pronounced using “S”?

Thank you for the lesson.
Just wondering, where is your accent from?

Not really. I think is closer to the USA pronunciation of ‘r’ at the end of a word than to any English ‘d’ sound. I am Spanish and when an English speaker mistakes ‘d’ for ‘r’ is very clear to us. And it’s a common one.

Thank you for the nice lesson, but is the 2nd R-sound is /d/ ,just as in the words:desk, mood, good……?

To pronounce ‘R’ you just have to touch the ‘ceiling’ of your mouth near the teeth with the tip your tongue. Just like a little touch.
For a long ‘R’ (‘rr’) just do the same and let the air pass though the ‘ceiling’ and the tongue, making your tongue vibrate.

Thank you, this was very helpful. The second R-sound was a big surprise for me, but almost all the other letters are pronounced like in Norwegian
Easier for me!
